O U R M I S S I O N

Cade’s Corps was born of an understanding that, when properly trained and bonded to an individual, service animals give back life to those robbed of it by debilitating trauma and illness. Our mission is to provide individually trained PTSD service dogs to area veterans, at no charge. However on occasion we will accept applications for animals for an individual outside of this purpose if they are referred and highly recommended by a medical doctor in our network.

O U R S T O R Y

The Wank & Simmons Families founded Cade’s Corps in 2021 after the passing of the Wank’s first service animal, Cade.

Maya Wank suffers from a chronic and debilitating disease that doctors know very little about. During a particularly low point in 2008, she was told by doctors to begin the process of mentally transitioning to a wheelchair because she wouldn’t be stable enough to walk through crowds or up/down stairs independently for much longer. At that point, our family started looking into alternatives and the rest is history! Cade gave our family back our mom, and we gave him all of the love and respect of a true medical hero.

We realized after his retirement and later his passing, that being able to provide someone else who is struggling, with their own Cade would be the best way we could honor his memory.

Seasoned Travelers

Getting to Italy for the first time was an exciting milestone! Cade also accompanied the family on many road trips.
